| | Album notes | Blondie: Debbie Harry (vocals); Chris Stein, Frank Infante (guitar); Jimmy Destri (keyboards); Nigel Harrison (bass); Clem Burke (drums). This is a collection of dance remixes of Blondie and Debbie Harry solo singles. Not quite a greatest hits compilation, 1989's ONCE MORE INTO THE BLEACH features a baker's dozen Blondie and solo Debbie Harry singles in remixed form. Unlike 1995's REMIXED, REMADE, REMODELED, which drastically overhauled the classic singles into mid-'90s dancefloor mode, the remixes on ONCE MORE INTO THE BLEACH don't radically alter the core material. In fact, it's hard to distinguish the remixes of "Atomic," and "Rush Rush," from the better-known originals. Split about evenly between Blondie hits and quality Debbie Harry singles, which ("French Kissin' in the USA" excepted) had nowhere near the same chart impact, ONCE MORE IN TO THE BLEACH is perhaps most useful as a handy condensation of Harry's uneven but often worthwhile solo records.
