You are bidding on one pound (approximately 3636 rings) of saw cut 16 gauge, 1/4" ID aluminum jump rings for making chainmail. The aluminum alloy is 5356 which is typically called bright aluminum when used for maille. They are wound on a mandrel then cut with a very thin (.008" thick) jewelers slotting saw in a jig. The rings are then cleaned to remove the cutting lubricant, dried, then tumbled to remove the small burs from the saw and to polish them to a brilliant shine. You can see how neatly the rings close in the pictures. This alloy will stay shiny and has very little of the grey rub off found in the less expensive aluminum alloys. The rings will make a very nice dense European 4 in 1 pattern but can be used for several other patterns as well. I ship USPS Priority (three day service in the US) usually the same day I receive payment. Please note there is a $9.95 charge for shipping to Canada. Please send me an e-mail if you have any questions.
