| Optical Mineralogy: Theory and Techniques (Vol. 1) AND Mineral Descriptions (Vol. 2) by Ernest G. Ehlers (Blackwell, 1987) These matched volumes are a highly respected and prized resource about optical mineralogy and the identification of minerals by polarized light microscopy. The two volumes contain abundant black and white illustrations plus a colored plate of interference colors in each volume. Volume 1 (158 pages) concentrates on optical theory and methodology as applied to minerals, and volume 2 (286 pages) is a comprehensive reference of mineral characteristics. Volume 1 is in fair condition, with worn corners and orange highlighting over sections of the first few chapters. Volume 2 is in very good, unmarked condition. If you are not satisfied, return them in the same condition for a refund of your purchase price (not shipping). As always, local pickup is free. I will ship these volumes for a low fixed price of $6 to Canadian addresses and $12 to anywhere else in the world, via air parcel post. We promise to mail it within two work days, but please be patient as international mail delivery can be slow. Feel free to ask questions, and please look at our other Stones2Gems store items as well. Before you buy any of our items, please review our Store Policies. Also see our two eBay guides for buying and using microscopes, and if you find them to be helpful, please check the box at the bottom of those pages. We appreciate your interest. |
