Orchid Plant - Blc. George King in Bud / Spike

BLc George King 'Serendipity' is the hybrid of the white Cattleya Bob Betts and the yellow Blc Buttercup. This kind of combination generally produces pale lavenders, pinks, and art shades. The 'Serendipity' cultivar is large, about 6" across, and has excellent form. When the flowers first open the color changes from a pale peach tone and gradually becomes a darker salmon with peach sepals. The lip is red with salmon edging and yellow eyes in the throat. It is one of the most well-known of all art shade Catts and has been used to create many hyubrids with good results.

Blc George King is the hybrid of C. Bob Betts and Blc. Buttercup and composed of species that mostly grow in high light and primarily intermediate and cool temperatures. Grow in a pot with a porous, free-draining media and allow the plants to dry out between waterings.
