Offered for sale is a Asian style Wall Art Quilt called "Anime Falls".

Piece measures 46" wide by 58 1/2" long.  It is machine made and machine quilted, and includes a sleeve on the back for hanging.

"Anime Falls" is one of the design series that became my quilt pattern, Feathered Falls.

Feathered Falls was one of my design series that was on the 'drawing board' for the longest time.  The challenge was to get sharp geometric shapes to form a cascading silhouette, without becoming too complicated to piece, or without looking too sharp.  The keys - use a variety of sizes for scale variation, and choose fabrics with lots of activity to keep the eye moving. 

Anime Falls was not the first in the series, in fact I think it was about the fourth, but it is my favorite - I love the colors in this quilt - the stylized cherry blossoms reminded me of anime versions of flowers, thus the name.

As with all of my quilts created in this timeframe, the quilting on tihs piece is beautiful - I was attempting to depict the flow of water down the length of the quilt, so the lines flow and swirl.  Some of the larger flowers are also outline quilted.

The back of the quilt is created with a typical 'racing stripe', finished with a hand-signed label.

The materials, time and workmanship in this piece place it's value in the $450-$500 range.  You will not be disappointed in this quilt - it is beautiful and will enhance any room in which it hangs.
