 Click to view supersized image  Click to view supersized image  Click to view supersized image A Scarce and extremely hard to find, original late Victorian Era hat catalog or millinery catalog......Dating from the Autumn Winter Season of 1899-1900, that great period known as the Opulent Era, the turn of the century...when things were rapidly changing in fashion .............Beautiful fancy hat trimmings, hat accessories, fancy and exotic feathers, bird wings, 2 pages of ostrich boas,.... lush silks and French ribbons, silk veiling and net, jet ornaments, beaded embellishments, millinery flowers, French silk millinery velvets, bands, glittering cut steel buckles, hat pins, millinery shop displays, hat brushes, flower stands, hat stands, hat repair items, edgings, streamer lace, swansdown, bridal sets, hat linings, buckram, millinery wire, pattern hats and bodies and hoods, and more .....If you operated a millinery shop in that time, this would be mailed to you free of charge by Hills Brothers, so you could select and purchase the fashionable trims for the coming season.....A RARE GEM for any hat collector.........
 Click to view supersized image  Click to view supersized image  Click to view supersized image There are HUNDREDS of items in here, ....This is a valuable reference and important in helping to date the trims and the hats in your collection......Title is HILL BROTHERS....."OUR SILENT SALESMAN".....FALL WINTER, 1899-1900................They claim to have, occupied over 72,000 square feet of warehouse space!!......(Can you imagine going back in time to this place?).....Importing and copying their items from France and world round......Measures 11 1/2" by 9 1/4" and has 32 pages ........As it is a large size it has lots inside.....Plus a back section with full prices on all items shown, sales info, forms, index, etc......

(see photos)....Insides are not torn up, all pages are bound.... pages...some mild signs of age such as a few tiny edge chips, but pages are clean and not soiled or foxed, not dryed out ......good quality paper is still fairly supple, ......NOT newsprint....first page has mild smudges along edge......the book's binding is intact but shaken ....no strong odors I can detect.....it shows its age, has flaws, but is still complete and a RARE millinery book for your collection, and a great historical reference.....Offered AS IS with a low opening bid....
