Here is a very hard to find piece of Gas and Oil History.

The following quote is from the Chevron website, "During World War II, the famous "winged V" was adopted for the fourth letter in "Chevron," to suggest the company's deep commitment to the war effort."

This sign is 60" x 42" and weighs 49 pounds. I do not see any sign of repair or restoration. It appears to be all original.

The photos below show every aspect of both sides of the sign. We did a light water wash to get the storage dust off for the photos. The photos were taken in natural overcast light. You will be able to see the couple where the flash fired.

The owner does not have any provenance on its origin or where it was in use. It has been stored in the family home for many years.

The package will be 66" x 46" x 3". This will bring us 1" under the UPS restriction of 165" length and girth. This will be 2" of protection on each side, 3" of protection on each end and 1-1/2" of protection top and bottom (laying flat). I'm estimating approximately 20 pounds for the packaging. The item can also be picked up from or storefront business in Poulsbo, Wa. 98370. If you have other preferences, we will facilitate your requests to the best of our ability.
