This is an Original Confederate banknote: a $5.00 note, issued at Richmond & dated "February 17th 1864". T-69. Size: approx. 3" by 7". Color: Pink w/Black overprinting on front; Ornate Blue back/reverse with the written number FIVE at center + number 5 at the four corners and center. Front of note has a Nice, central vignette depicting the State Capitol at Richmond + a smaller portrait vignette of C.G. Memminger in the lower, righthand corner. Nice Condition overall, w/a small piece of transparent tape on the back/reverse side, on the righthand side between the two #5s; otherwise, o.k. Note grades: Fine/aVF. Low beginning bid! Buyer pays $1.95S&H, extra for postage outside the U.S. ***Please see scans. The little colored "squiggles" you see in some of the pictures are caused by my scanner; this note has No color highlights! This is nice note! |
