 Description Shipping and payments
Original Civil War Bayonet and Scabbard.  Overall length 17 1/2", Length of blade 13 1/2", Width of blade at widest point 3/4". Blade is a triangular bayonet . Inner diameter of socket is 13/16" for receiving musket. The screw on the locking mechanism of the socket has been replaced. The surface of the metal is brown and shows it age. The scabbard is 16 3/4"g with a 3"brasss bottom. The leather is soft and pliable and in good condition, sewing is solid. The shiny black finish on the leather has worn awaay in some places.. Considering its age it is in good shape./
