"Baby Birds"

An intricately detailed little etching of three little birds on a branch!

The image is printed from a plate which I have etched and engraved- the plate being inked and wiped and pulled through a hand cranked press for each impression.

I have then hand colored it with watercolor and prismacolor watercolor pencils. The paper is RIVES 100% cotton rag, heavy wieght,acid free. This is an artist's proof.

The subtle raised embossed flowers are created by pressing the dampened paper into impressions that I have reverse carved. I'm afraid the embossing does not show up very well on this scan.

The image size including embossing is 2 1/4 " x 5 " .

The etching comes with a description of the process and is on matboard in a plastic sleeve.

I have been a professional artist for about 30 years and a printmaker for many of these. My work has been sold in galleries and stores across the United States and Canada.
