A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
This auction is for a nice old tagged Hudson's Bay Company point blanket which I just found as part of the contents of a local estate. It sold on eBay last week to a bidder in North Pole, Alaska, who just let me know that he "won't be needing it after all". It's again available; please make sure you need it before you bid!
The old blanket has "four points" woven into one edge. It is marked 100% Wool and Made In England. It is 82" long and 68" wide.
Four primary color stripes - red, green, yellow and deep indigo blue accent the off-white or ivory background.
I can find no staining which is unusual in these old blankets. It is very sturdy; please note that there are four tiny holes sprinkled about in a 12" square area (see one of the close up photographs). It has not been dry cleaned but has been hanging outside in the fresh air for three days. I cannot detect any bad odor.
This is a no reserve auction beginning at $12.99; the high bidder will determine its value.
