"The Bee Hive"

 

"The Bee Hive" is an original 6"X7" watercolor 

painting by Whidbey Island artist Shelley Lampman

It was painted with 

Windsor & Newton transparent watercolors

on 300 lb hot press watercolor paper.

 

This is a very nostalgic piece of my childhood -

the Bee Hive Restaurant has bravely stood in the middle of

downtown Montesano for at least 40 years when my

family moved to neighboring Aberdeen.

I loved going here for dinner as a child - it was "retro"

even then!
