ABOUT THIS PIECE
This is an original charcoal drawing drawn from direct observation with a mirror. The double image was an intuitive response to the previous erasures of changing the image multiple times. I decided to develop the erasures back into the drawing and create a "double-self" where I am sitting in the lap of another image of myself.

This drawing is on quality, archival paper and has been treated with spray fixative to protect the surface.

Jessica M. Culver is a professional fine artist residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has a BFA in Painting with a concentration in Drawing and Sculpture from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Jessica is an award-winning artist who frequently exhibits her work in regional and national juried shows. Her paintings are held in many public and private collections in the United States, Canada, England, Holland, and Spain.
