Original or Reproduction: OriginalCatalog: CRAFTSMAN FURNITURE 1912
  Original Gustav Stickley CRAFTSMAN FURNITURE catalog dated April 1912.  Size: 7" X 9".  64 pages.  Catalog cover reads: "CRAFTSMAN FURNITURE, April 1912, Made by GUSTAV STICKLEY at the Craftsman Workshops, Eastwood New York, Showrooms: 29 West 34th Street, New York and 470 Boylston Street, Boston".  All the pages are there.   Decent condition overall, but looks like it was folded briefly at one time...slight crease remains.  Cover has worn edges.  Inside, the pages are in good shape, but two pages are loose from the binding.  Six pages each have one very light pencil notation (noting the width of a chair, etc.) that show whomever owned it was actually scanning it for purchases, so I would say the notations date to the same 1912 period.
   A great reference for the collector as it has lots of information w/ essays on "What Craftsman Furniture Stands For", "How To Identify Craftsman Furniture", "The Craftsman Fireplace: A Complete Heating and Ventilating System", "The Craftsman Proposition: Craftsman House Plans and How to Secure Them", "The Purpose of the Craftsman Magazine", and "How Craftsman Furniture is Finished (Craftsman Lustre)".  Plus, it has sections w/ four Craftsman Homes w/ floor plans, Six Pieces of Willow Furniture, A Few Craftsman Lanterns & Table Lamps, and Economic Upholstery of Fabrikoid Leather.  The inside back cover has a list of the retailers and their locations.  The back cover advertises the Craftsman Fireplace.  This catalog shows his full line of Mission oak furniture plus the hammered copper lamps and willow furniture...w/ pictures, dimensions, and the prices!
