Ormolu ~ Jeweled Casket Box ~ Empire Art Antique. An early 1900's E. & J.B. EMPIRE ART GOLD jewelry box. This box measures 6-1/2" long, 4-1/4" wide and 2" tall. The hinged cover is bejeweled with 12 set stones (all present and in good shape), and a large inset floral center medallion. The sides of this crescent shaped box has fancy embossed designs and the top band has swags of rose and ribbon's. The ribbon theme is carried over on the little latch. There is some green patina on the filigree on the lid of the box and there is a velvet lining in the bottom of box. Finished with three little pad feet. Wonderfully adorned jewelry Casket!
