You are bidding on a wonderful vintage game chest which includes a very ornate oriental-style chess set and a backgammon game. The storage box is also the playing board. The chessmen are made from a very heavy plastic similiar to meerschaum. The king is 4" tall. Both the chess set and backgammon games are complete without damage. The chess board has a marble-like finish with very slight surface scratches and a small chip on the edge (see pic), but it is still very ornate and elegant. The case has a nice leather handle (Sorry no key).
The box/board measures 17-1/2" square by 2-1/2" deep

We ship via Fedex for Continental USA bidder (except for very small packages). They do not deliver to P O Boxes so a physical address is required.
If you have any questions, please email us. We try to be honest and inspect every item thoroughly and describe it, faults and all, but sometimes some things get by us. We have had a wonderful eBay experience with excellent feedback due to the cooperative attitudes of fellow eBayers. However, due to the vintage nature of some items, we cannot offer guarantees beyond the receipt of the item. If there is a problem, it must be reported to us within 5 DAYS of receipt of item. In the case of a return, buyer must pay return shipping. We reserve the right to relist if eBay is down during the last hour of bidding.
We leave positive feedback as soon as your payment is received. Your prompt payment is appreciated. When the item arrives as described, we hope to receive positive feedback from you. Also, eBay is now asking buyers to rate sellers with stars as to how well the item is described, communications, delivery times and shipping costs. Unfortunately, eBay is using this system to punish power sellers by charging them more on their listings for almost anything less than a 5 star rating. Please be gracious in your ratings unless there is actually a problem. If there is a problem, please email us first so we can work it out. Shipping charges are a real cause for concern. Actual charges have increased greatly with the higher cost of fuel. Please don't punish us for things that are out of our control. We usually add a dollar handling charge to our shipping, except when extra shipping materials and time are required for large and fragile item. We really appreciate your cooperation.
Lastly, there have been some fraudulent "Second Chance Offers" circulating within the eBay community. We seldom use this feature. If you receive a "Second Chance Offer" for any of our eBay items, please email us at judyndan@juno.com to verify that the offer has originated from us.
