Osmium solid metal pieces (1g to 1kg element sample)

These beautiful pieces of solid osmium metal are melted in our own high temperature furnace. They are very high purity (99.95%) and a certificate of analysis is available. Osmium is an exceptionally dense element (22.4g per cubic cm) and the heaviest in the periodic table. It is a member of the platinum group of metals and has a characteristic, attractive blue cast. You will be astonished how heavy these solid pieces feel.

You may order as much osmium as you require by entering into the "Quantity" field the number of grams you wish to order. The price is $30 per g. Insured 5-7 day shipping and handling is a flat $22 regardless of weight (please note: this is part of the price structure, so combined shipping is not available for this item). The more you buy, the cheaper the price per gram (for example, 1g costs $52 in total, 5g costs $172, 10g costs $322).Shipping is free on orders of 20g or more. We normally provide a mixture of pieces in the 1g to 5g range to make up your target weight.

Single large pieces require a considerable amount of extra work and a surcharge of $125 will be payable on single pellets weighing 20 grams or more. If you require a single piece of osmium weighing 20g or over, please email before making payment so that we can send a revised invoice.
