Otani Tokuji I and Sawamura Sojuro III - Terrific kabuki scene from the life of Oboshi Yuranosuke Yoshio, the leader of the famous 47 Ronin, featuring the actors Otani Tokuji I and Sawamura Sojuro III. Here Oboshi is shown peering in the window of a Shinto priest's hut. The priest kneels on a mat, a haraigushi wand with folded paper bundles used for purification rituals on the floor next to him. A carefully drawn image with beautiful detail in the wooden structure and thatched roof. A handsome print.
