Movie description
Gainer Sanga lives in Domepolis, an encased city, in a future where environmental disasters have made much of the earth's surface inhabitable. Although he is the champion of a virtual reality game, his celebrity cannot help him avoid arrest on trumped up charges of plotting to escape the city. Exiting Domepolis is illegal, although the powerful corporations that run the city refuse to explain why. In prison, Gainer meets Gavin, who is plotting a breakout followed by an escape from the city itself to the heralded land of Yapan. OVERMAN KING GAINER chronicles the adventures of Gainer as he attempts to leave Domepolis and investigate the mysteries of the outside world. The anime series was written and directed by celebrated animator Yoshiyuki Tomino, who created the popular MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM and got his start working on the classic ASTROBOY.
