PACIFICA GT-400 Pottery Wheel w/PAN, Legs, Tools, LOOK
This has been very hard for me to list but I've decided it is time.
My husband was struck down (see my about me page) in 2002 with a huge brain bleed that eventually led to his death in 2005. He had done pottery 20 years previously and I purchased this wheel for him new at Laguna Clay when he was in rehab to help him get his left arm back as he had a deficit in the arm. I purchased all the tools, the leg extensions, the wheel that will go either way, clay, plaster of paris to make bats, and everything so he could maybe exercise his arm by throwing once again. Although he could still throw a pot, he said it was too hard. The wheel was used for a total of no more than 2 hours. It has been sitting here in my kitchen for all this time because I thought at some time I might want to throw again as well (I did in college too). But I don't think I'll ever have the time to relearn the craft, so I've decided that I should go ahead and sell the wheel and all the tools.
There are bats, several sponges, the wheel, leg extensions (the screw is missing on one of the legs but any screw that size can be purchase for a few pennies at the hardware), and a new gallon jug of plaster of Paris. In other words EVERYTHING for you to get set up to throw pots! I paid $900.00 for all the equipment (and clay which is not included) when I purchased it. I can NOT ship this as I have a bad back and can't pick it up to pack it. It will have to be picked up. I can help you load it but I just can't get it packed. This would be a fantastic gift for an art student or for someone who is starting out in the wonderful world of pottery. It has never been out of my kitchen, and again, has no more than 2 hours time on it. I talked to several potters and this was the wheel that everyone suggested I purchase. I had clay but it dried up several years ago, sorry! The clay can be purchased locally to the Columbus market or you can dig and sieve your own along a lot of the river banks in our area.
I live 20 miles east of Columbus Ohio. This will fit in a car easily.
This is a buy it now purchase for much less than you will find anywhere else.
These are the statistics on the wheel from Laguna Clay: (retail $799.99)
