I was completely on my own rebuilding these, no numbers of any kind on the frame or magnet, just Fane Acoustics and Made in England cast into the frame, no cones or soft parts, no 'like' speaker in the data base. But Dusty likes a challenge and gets around to rebuilding every frame we have at some point. These speakers came out stellar. Cast aluminum frames, huge 2 1/2" coil, heavy weight cone with an M roll surround. I'll conseratively guess-timate these to be a 250 watt speaker(each). And they are something a little different, a little unexpected. They have been thoroughly tested and sound great with a full, rich bass response. Do'nt let the fact that these are weird and different put you off, they are actually a really cool pair of speakers and have been thoroughly worked out, they sound great and they are priced right. You will be pleased. Completely rebuilt and ready to go When you purchase a reconed, more correctly, rebuilt speaker from Dusty's you are buying the very best. We use only good un-damaged frames, force a bead of epoxy around the edges of the magnets filling all gaps between plate and magnet where needed and re-bond the magnet to the frame, the magnet structure will hold together for the life of the rebuild and there will be not a rattle or buzz. Any interior foam screening is replaced with a coated aluminum screen which will not deteriorate and plug up the coil gap over time. All our soft parts are the highest quality the industry has to offer, surpassing the quality of the originals for the nearly every speaker. I personally test each and every speaker before it leaves our hands. Our work is meticulous, professional and very neat. We are not an authorized service center for JBL, ElectroVoice, Altec or any other brand and do not use so called 'OEM' parts, or sell 'kits'. In this way we can better serve musicians and sound professionals by offering the best value possible, quality drivers ready to go at less than the cost of a 'factory' reconing on a frame you already own, which you'll have to pay shipping on both ways.
