This line drawing is from a Children's book that was illustrated by Palmer Cox.   Palmer Cox lived from 1840-1924. He was born in Canada and moved to New York in 1875 where he became famous as an American writer and illustrator of juvenile magazines and books.

I found this severely damaged book in an attic of a historic home I was renovating. The cover and most of the pages were missing or beyond keeping, but I fell in love with the art... and salvaged what I could. I have had a few of these drawings enlarged [at local print shop] and framed for gifts. They are now offered to you, for your enjoyment.  Pages are cropped to remove damage. There is about 1/2 inch [or more] of border around the image. Slightly soiled.

I don't know which book or the copyright date that these pictures came from, as cover pages were missing. I estimate that it is a late 1880 to pre 1900's publication. Most of the other paper goods that I found along with this item, were dated 1887-1892.
