DOLLBODY
This pattern is three-in-one. It has three different patterns to make jointed cloth bodies for the following four styles/sizes of dolls:
16" LaBaby dolls 20" LaBaby dolls 17" Lots to Love dolls Apple Valley dolls
The LaBaby patterns have cloth arms and legs and are jointed using plastic doll joints. Cable Ties attach the arms and legs and head to the vinyl doll pieces. This body has a beautiful sleek design with good proportions. The arms and legs may be posed more naturally than with the original Berenguer body.
You will need 2 of the 35mm joints and 2 of the 45mm joints for the 16" body style. The 20" LaBaby needs 2 of the 45mm joints and 2 of the 55mm joints for each doll body.
The body for the 20" LaBaby dolls wears Preemie size clothing when the doll is finished. The photo shows that the doll has natural proportions.
DOLLBODY_F
This pattern is for a large infant doll body that fits the Apple Valley vinyl doll kits as well as other 22" vinyl doll body kits. It is also designed for the large 17" Lots to Love dolls. The Lots to Love arms and legs need to be cut off above the elbow and the knee, and cable ties fit into the already molded creases in the elbows and knees so that cable ties grip the vinyl pieces very well, making a good sturdy doll body even though the vinyl is cut down. This doll body is a big improvement over the original Lots to Love doll bodies, because it makes the doll porportionate for the large doll head, and extends the arms and legs to a more normal appearance. The finished doll is still a nice chubby baby, but no longer has the dwarfed proportions.
The patterns have cloth arms and legs and are jointed using plastic doll joints. Cable Ties attach the arms and legs and head to the vinyl doll pieces. The largest doll body needs 2 of the 55mm joints for the arms and 2 of the 65mm joints for attaching the legs.
When finished, the doll will wear 0-3 months or 3-6 month size infant clothing, depending on the fit of the clothing somewhat.
STUFFING.The doll bodies can be stiff for sitting dolls or floppy for sleeping babies, depending on the kinds of stuffing used. If you use mostly polyester fiberfill, with some beanbags for weight then the doll sits very well, as shown in the photos. If you use mostly the plastic beans for fill and weighting, then the dolls will be more floppy if it's not packed tight.

NOTE: Pattern J is combined from two previous patterns: my original doll body pattern and Pattern F. The 16" doll body has been revised to fit preemie clothes so it has been updated. The new 16" doll body is shown in the photo above, and again below...
