The themes included are Letters (upper and lower case), Numbers, Colors, Shapes, Farm, Ocean, Dinosaurs, Insects, Fruit, Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day and St Patrick's Day.
For each theme there are 2 levels of difficulty, Level 1 (ABAB patterns) and Level 2 (ABB, AAB, and ABC patterns). And in each level, there are 4 different ways to complete or create a pattern.
- Make a circle around the object that comes next
- Draw a picture of the object that should fill the missing space
- Cut and paste the object that comes next
- Cut and paste several items to fill a grid, so that a complete row is formed for each of the items.
There is also a set of cards for each theme that can be cut out. Print several pages of the cards on 110 card stock, and use to make patterns and sequences. Begin a line pattern for the child to continue. Have the child copy the pattern. Use to match same with same; find different in a set; use to make addition and subtraction stories; make tic tac toe games; create basic logic puzzles etc.
