A shocking piece of collegiate hockey history, this Maine Black Bears jersey was worn by Paul Kariya during his Hobey Baker and national championship winning freshman year in which he totalled 25 goals and 100 points in just 39 games. The CCM knit jersey has the company tag in the neck beside a size 54 fly tag while a small "CCM" is embroidered into the hem. Everything is sewn-on, including the Hockey East 10th anniversary patch which was added for the 1993-94 pre-season before the Bears got their new uniforms. Nice game wear with notably half a dozen board burns on the left sleeve resulting in a couple of unrepaired holes. Also a few stick marks and some pilling to mention. Outstanding jersey is photo-matched and is also seen in a video that will be included. Kariya autographed the jersey on the white stripe beneath "Maine", adding a beautiful finish to this significant college jersey. Comes with a LOA. *startred*Just like all the other Maine jerseys from that era, the Karya jersey has a nameplate and number change, because the jerseys were recycled season after season. The most important thing to remember is that the jersey was worn by Karya and that it has been matched perfectly to a photography of Karya in a Maine uniform.
