It is so easy to expose babies and small children to a noisy environment with out thinking about the potential damage they may receive. The ear is a delicate organ and hearing can be easily damaged by loud noises. A baby or young child will probably not protest when the environment is too loud and as their hearing is especially sensitive it can be easily damaged for the rest of their life. Damaged hearing can cause problems with sleeping, behaviour and learning, and it is not always picked up until a child is older.
These quality ear muffs are a must for any parent who needs to expose their baby to loud noises. They are specially designed to fit small heads, are lightweight and comfortable for continuous use, and only weighing 175g, making Peltors ear muffs the lightest on the market.

- Independently flexible headband wires made of stainless spring steel for uniform pressure distribution around the ears. Retain their tension better than standard plastic bands.
- Low two-point suspension and simple height adjustment with no projecting parts.
- Soft and wide foam-filled sealing rings for low pressure, effective sealing and flexible comfort. The pressure equalization ducts quickly set the correct pressure against the ear drum. Although Peltor Select earmuffs are marketed to woman, we sell them as a suitable option for babies and kids as they are exactly the same as the Peltor Kid and Peltor Junior ear muffs.
Below are some general examples of db levels of common noises.
40db – bedroom, library
50db – fridge, traffic at a distance
60db – conversation, ringing telephone
70db – freeway traffic
80db – vacuum cleaner, alarm clock
90db – lawn mower
100db – motor cycle, chain saw
110db – car horn, dance club, shout in the ear, crying baby
120db – ambulance, foot ball game, rock concert, thunder
130db – Car racing, jack hammer, noisy baby toys
140db – air plane take off, gun fire
150db – fire works
Noises above 80db become dangerous if exposed for longer than 8 hours.
Exposure at 120 db can injure ears.
At 140 db immediate inner ear damage would result.

FAQ
Are these the same as the neon pink and green kids earmuffs?Yes!!! These are exactly the same ear muff! Peltor Junior Ear muffs, Peltor Kid Ear muffs and Peltor Select Ear muffs are all the same as each other, they are all the same size and shape, they all have the same features, all have an NRR rating of 22.
Are these suitable for a newborn baby? There are no ear muffs created with a newborn baby in mind. However, the Peltor Junior ear muffs, Peltor Kid ear muffs, and Peltor Select ear muffs are recommended as a safe option for a newborn or young baby. The ear cups are slim and lightweight and the adjustable headband is padded. The softly cushioned ear cups are filled with liquid foam that insures an even protective seal. We recommend these for 6 months and up but they will easily fit a lot of younger babies too.
May not fit all babies as head shapes and sizes vary.
How will i know if they are fitted correctly? Make sure the childs ear is enclosed inside the space in the ear cup and that the cushions seal fully against the head around the full perimeter of the childs ear. Adjust the headband so that it sits comfortably over the top of the head.
