PERFECT MATCH GENE DRESSED DOLL
Perfect Match is a beautiful pink and grey hostess ensemble. Circa 1953. The wide-collared blouse is of a pale pink chiffon, criss-crossing at the bodice. Its bell sleeves are gathered in a ruffle at the waist. The overskirt is a grey and pink striped cotton sateen, with pink chiffon cummerbund. The blouse and skirt are worn over a jumpsuit of black charmeuse pants and pink taffeta bodice accented with a large pink rose. Includes a pair of pink “pearl” earrings, a pair of rhinestone drop earrings, pink “pearl” bracelet, hosiery, shoes. This FAO Schwarz Exclusive Doll was designed by Hollywood costumer Lynne Day. This came out in the spring of 2001. The Certificate of Authenticity and the doll are both numbered #1640. The doll comes with its stand and box.
The doll and outfit have been displayed together and separately but in the home of an adult collector, no children have played with this doll. The doll has since redressed in her original outfit and is being sold as “mint in box.” (MIB).
