The unit is in GOOD condition (see my grading scale below).  The case is in VERY GOOD condition.  There are some cosmetic flaws on both.  They all have been shown in the photos.

The typewriter appears to work as best as I can tell.  All the keys and levers and rollers function.  However, I could not figure out how to load any paper into it.  If anyone can help me with this I will be glad to test the item thouroughly for you.

MINT:  Item is in brand new, never used, perfect condition

NEAR MINT:  Item has rarely or never been used for it's intended purpose, may show some signs of handling but otherwise appears as a new item would.  Item is almost perfect but not quite.

EXCELLENT:  Item has been used for its intended purpose but has been well taken care of and has no obvious flaws.

VERY GOOD:  Item has been used enought to show obvious signs of use and wear but is still free from most or all major flaws or defects.   Any flaws will be described and/or pictured.

GOOD:   Item has been used and shows it.  Will have some flaws, which will be described and/ or pictured.

FAIR:  Item has some obvious flaws and/or damage.

POOR:  Item is used, flawed and damaged in major ways.
