was probably published between 1890 and 1920 by the International Book Company. There is no publishing date, indicating that the book was published before 1920, and the fine binding dates it to TOC or about 1910. Two of Sir Walter Scott's Waverly novels, Peveril about a man by that name, supposedly a son of William the Conqueror, 319 pages. Vignette black and white illustrations scattered throughout. Binding burgundy cloth with a raised design and gilt lettering, 7.5" tall.
In very good condition for its antique age, this is the wear: Pages yellowed. Front endpaper torn 2". Back bd loosened. Binding spine faded. Wear at top binding spine, slight being at corners. My photo doesn't show the burgundy or dark plum color - the binding is less red.
TOC illustrations & an art nouveau patterned binding, a spendid old Sir Walter Scott edition!
