This Line began in 1831 and was extremely important in the development of the area. Just recently President Obama rode the modern lines but way back then he would not have been allowed - at least without the presence of a "Responsible White Person" as shown from that old Warning Sign* regarding "Colored People".

That's an old scandal that's now long past. But there's also a more recent one. Remember the Movie "Wall Street"?
