The Philips DVDR3576H/37 is the
perfect addition to your home theater system. The DVDR3505 records
from TV or camcorder via the front DV input, and upscales standard
definition programs to 1080i HD resolution. With i.LINK you can now
copy your favorite camcorder tapes in perfect digital picture and
sound quality to DVD. There is an HDMI output for connection to the
rest of your components, plus S-Video input allowing for greater video quality.
On top of all that this device can be programmed for up to 36 timed recordings. There are also easy chapter labeling
features and commercial skipping during playback.
Internal 160 GB Hard Disk Drive
Enjoy the convenience of recording your favorite shows onto the internal 160
GB hard disc, it offers up to 6 recording modes: HQ (33 hrs), SP (66 hrs), SPP
(82.5 hrs), LP (99 hrs), EP (132 hrs), and SLP (198 hrs).
Built-in Dual NTSC and SDTV Tuners
This unit offers a built-in dual NTSC and SDTV tuners, capable of receiving and
recording your favorite TV shows in both standard and digital formats.
Dual Media
Philips DVD Recorders support 'dual media' recording - the ability to create
recordings on DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW discs. Now you can buy any disc and the
Philips recorder will always create fully compatible recordings, which can be
played by any DVD player.
1080i Upscaling
Many of the programs you might record from TV are going to be in
standard definition format. If you want to see them at their best on
your HDTV then you need a unit that upscales to a higher definition format.
The DVDR3576H will upscale all your standard discs to 1080i
for optimal quality in both video and audio.
Progressive Scan
Progressive Scan doubles the vertical
resolution of the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture.
Instead of sending a field comprising the odd lines to the screen
first, followed by the field with the even lines, both fields are
written at one time. A full image is created instantaneously, using
the maximum resolution. At such a speed, your eye perceives a
sharper picture with no line structure.
One-Touch Timer Record
This unit offers the ability to set a recording time at the touch of a
button. Every time the recording button is pressed during recording, the
recording time will be increased by 30 minutes up to 6 hours. The recording
automatically stops when the recording time you set is reached or the disc is
full.
Chapter Marking
When you set up a program for recording, you can tell the
DVDR3505 when you want chapters marked. For the duration of the
recording your chapters will be set up at the intervals you have
chosen.
High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
If you're looking to pump high-definition DVD playback into your HD displays or
projectors, this unit will do the job. It has a high-bandwidth processor capable
of transferring 720p/1080i and 1080p through the HDMI output. HDMI supports
standard, enhanced, or high-definition video, plus multi-channel digital audio
on a single cable.
Recordable DVD Media
Record your favorite shows onto DVD-R/W and DVD+R/W discs, offering up to 6
recording modes: HQ (1 hr), SP (2 hrs), SPP (2.5 hrs), LP (3 hrs), EP (4 hrs),
and SLP (6 hrs).
Multi-format playability (DivX)
Multi-format playability allows you to play most file formats
