"Bid Snipers" use software to bid in the final few seconds of the auction to take over the auction and win the item at the lowest possible price. You will not be able to beat a bid sniper program at the last minute.
 
The best way to improve your chances on something you  want is to determine the maximum amount you are willing to pay and enter that amount. That method also helps avoid missing a bid or forgetting to bid.  eBay will enter your bid automatically at the LOWEST possible price for you.  That means if your max bid is $50, but your current bid is only at $20 and nobody else bids then you still get it for $20 even though you entered $50.  If you end up losing the auction it will NOT be because you have been had by a Bid Sniper - it will be because it went beyond what you were willing to pay!!!!

I would love to offer you FREE shipping all the time, however, if I did I would be out of business very quickly. Here's why - If you buy a $20 item (4-5 lb. package) and it costs $16.80 to ship, that leaves $3.20 - I probably paid more than that for the item - I would be in the RED - when ebay and paypal take their pieces of the pie, including collecting final value fees.   I would be out of business in no time at all! 

Sellers are now rated by buyers on shipping charges - I understand some sellers inflate and gouge you with shipping charges, I am not one of them. You pay what I pay plus typically $1 to help with packaging costs. I use bubble-wrap and packaging peanuts, not newspaper and take great care in my packaging.


You are able to check the rates before you bid, so if you think they are too high - maybe you can find this piece from someone who lives closer to you for cheaper rates. 

 

I charge for the cost of shipping according to weight

and location. It is best to not pay until you have been invoiced.

 

 

If you over pay on shipping--I always refund the difference

 

If you decide to bid and win, please be forgiving with your seller shipping cost feedback ratings.  I work hard to offer unique items with excellent packaging and customer service. It is frustrating to be given lower feedback ratings (and pay higher seller fees because of the lower ratings given by Ebay) for shipping costs that are fixed by the carrier companies, not by me.

 

 

 When you give 4 stars, it may seem like a great score, for instance a 4 in Shipping Time means "Quickly;" eBay, however, considers this a sub-par mark. Their standards require sellers to maintain 4.8 & above or be penalized with higher fees & more.
