The Phabulous Photo
Table
This (apparently)
simple, but surprisingly ingenious Photo Table is one of the
most amazingly helpful pieces of photographic equipment ever
invented for the photographer who ever has a need to photograph
small to medium size items or objects!
This innovative piece
of equipment allows us to make some amazingly creative and visually
arresting photographs of ordinary items. First, it lets us set
up and start working quickly and easily. Next, it's almost infinitely
adjustable, so we can change it whenever we want. And, it holds
all sorts of backgrounds; muslins, canvas, paper rolls as well
as any Diffuser Acrylic Background (a sort of a translucent,
white plastic material you use for the background of the objects
you're photographing, and which can be made to appear almost
any color or shade you like, simply by lighting it from the rear
with a light with a color filter over it. This technique also
adds a background "glow" that looks fabulous! The background
seems to glow with whatever shade you like, and is a real eye-catcher
for your client's products (but don't go out and tell everybody
- like magicians, photographers do the "magic" and
leave our audience gasping with delight - but we never reveal
the "secrets" of our art (let them think we learn our
secret techniques from ancient spiritual geniuses who handed
down these practices from master to disciple over the centuries
- it increases our value:). The "glow" technique is
especially wonderful when photographing glass or plastic objects,
by lighting from below - see the "technique" section
below, and amaze even yourself). BTW, although the carrying case
for this unit is usually an optional extra that sells for $40,
I'll throw in the custom carrying case with this for FREE! The
photographic tips and techniques are also free - whether you
buy anything from me or not. So ask yourself: "Who da man?"
;-)
Basically, this is a product photographer's dream; you can do a whole catalogue's worth
of items in a single day, and also make the background or product's
"surroundings" look either completely consistent, or
amazingly different just by changing paper rolls, or using the
fabulous ChromaKey backgrounds, or lighting white paper differently,
or using color gels over your background light(s). As you can
see, this is sort of a combination product table and background
stand, so by curving the background, you eliminate the horizon,
just as you can with a backdrop stand setup. All in all, a wonderfully
helpful system for both efficiency and (more importantly) creativity!
Yet another "secret" why the pros can do such great
work: they have the right tools for the job! AND, they can CONTROL
THE LIGHT! Try it, you'll like it. ESPECIALLY at this great price!
Please be aware that this setup is the photo table FRAME, as
illustrated; it does not include the paper rolls or background
material (which are available in my eBay store, or at almost
any photo store, hobby store, art store. or photographic supplier),
and there is no shelf included (if it was a chair, the "seat"
would not be included). I had a piece of plywood cut to size,
to use as the shelf. I also drilled a hole in the center of the
plywood shelf, which I use to shine a light through from the
bottom up for "glowing" glass and translucent objects.
See the "technique" section below for more on this
subject.

| Are you an online seller? Do you have eBay auctions?
If so, you already know
that the
better your products look, the more you'll sell! You have already learned (or surmised)
the most important aspect of a successful online enterprise;
to wit: a good image will sell more product than a poor image
will. A GREAT image (or, better yet, MANY great images) will
sell MANY more products, than poor images will, etc. That's
the first big hump (so to speak) to get over, and you already
have. Good! You know you need to make your products look great
in order to succeed. If you sell products, this Photo Table,
a few lights, and a little time and effort learning how to use
them will allow you to make your products look FABULOUS! The
same is true if you're a product photographer; you have
to make your clients' products look great - that's what they
pay you for. And the better your work, the more you can charge.
This Photo Table will help you succeed. For about what you'd
spend on a dinner in a nice restaurant and a movie, you can own
one of these dynamite Photo Tables. It will make your life easier,
allow you to make many more great images per day (the more pictures
you can make per day, the more money you'll make per day). The
better your clients' products look in your images, the more your
client will sell; the more money your client makes, the more
assignments he'll give you. The more assignments you're hired
to do, the more money you'll make.Think about it. |
| Web
Surfing Tips: Is the type on any
web page too small for comfortable reading? Just hold down the
Control key and type in the + sign (or in Macs, Command +), and
all the type gets bigger and easier to read - just keep punching
the + key until the type is at a comfortable size for you (to
go back to the smaller size, just type Control or Command and
- the minus sign). Want to keep the web page you're on open when
you click on a link to see another web page? Just hold down the
Control (or Command) key when you click on a link, and a new
browser page or tab will open up, keeping the original page open
behind it. |
Technique:
Here's another great
suggestion regarding photographing glassware (or any transparent,
semi-transparent, or translucent objects - when using a Photo
Table): Yes, glass and similar substances are difficult subjects
to properly photograph (especially clear glass objects), but
it can be done with a little equipment - like this Photo Table
(and a little creativity). A GREAT technique to use to make any
glass or translucent objects look truly magnificent and visually
striking, with the photo table, is to place your glass object
right over the hole (drilled through the shelf) or use a piece
of transparent or translucent plastic or plexiglas for the shelf,
and light it from below! The light shining up through the hole
(or the plexiglas) into your object will make the glass object
"glow" beautifully (here, though, you might want to
consider using a black background, and let it underexpose to
pure, pitch black; the "glowing" glass object will
appear to "float" in space, and can look pretty damn
fantastic (when done properly)! If you add a color filter (just
a piece of colored cellophane or plastic) over the light shining
up from the bottom of this setup, you can give it (your glass
or plastic object) lovely colorful highlights that will just
amaze the viewers! Using 2 or 3 different colors can add some
really dramatic highlights! Of course, with the Photo Table,
you can even do this with "regular" hot lights to get
an idea of what amazing effects can be accomplished. If you can't
afford to buy a Photo Table, take an old chair, punch out the
seat, and use it for your "poor photographer's" photo
table. "What? Is this guy crazy or something?," you're
probably asking yourself. "Why is he telling us this? Shouldn't
he be trying to sell us stuff instead?" Hey, sure
I'm in business to sell photographic equipment and make a living,
but I'm also a person (perhaps just like you), who enjoys photography
and who would rather see you make great pictures, than to try
to squeeze the baby's food money out of you. If you can afford
to buy a Photo Table, great! Place your order right now! But
if money's tight, make a "poor photographer's photo table,"
with an old chair, and then blow your client's minds with some
phenomenal photographs! Then you'll make a ton of money photographing
products, and you'll come back and buy the real photo
table from me, since the professional photo table is, of course,
larger, much more versatile, infinitely adjustable (which an
old chair isn't), professional, easy and convenient to break
down, and fit into its custom carrying case when you need to
take it on location and make the pictures at your client's warehouse
- or stash it in the corner of a closet when the spouse want's
the living room back - I have no doubt you'll toss out that flea-bitten,
ugly and embarrassing old chair just as soon as you can afford
the real thing:). After all, you're not going to make a great
impression on your clients by dragging an ugly old chair around
with you, will you? :) Thanks for viewing this auction, best
of luck, and check out my other auctions for lotsa great photographic
equipment! And remember, half the battle is having the right
equipment for the job. And for barely more than a hundred and
fifty bucks, this photo table just might be the best photographic
purchase you'll ever make! Quickie Technique #4: Exposure - All meters built into all cameras
are "reflection" meters; they read the light reflected
by our subjects AND everything else in our viewfinder! This often
causes incorrect readings, and pictures that turn out looking
like doo-doo. Instead of letting our camera's meter read the
exposure from our whole frame, either zoom in to fill
the viewfinder with our subject (i.e., the face of our subject,
or the flower's petals, or the black cat's coat, etc.), or, if
you're not using a zoom lens, walk up close to our subject, fill
the viewfinder with the most important part of our subject, then,
when our viewfinder is filled with our subject and NOT with the
surroundings, lock in exposure (e.g., press the shutter button
half-way down), and zoom out or back up, re-compose the shot,
and then press the shutter button all the way down
and make the exposure! I think you'll be amazed with the results!
More "quickie techniques" information will be included
in my other auction descriptions. Thank you for viewing this
auction, and may you have the very best of luck! Tell me more about getting perfect exposure... |

Blue
ChromaKey Backdrop 6' x 10'
(optionally, you can request a ChromaKey
green backdrop instead; see below)

|
What is a
"ChromaKey Background?"
A chromakey backdrop
is a solid-color backdrop of a special color tone that makes
it easy to select just the background or just the subject of
your image in order to isolate your subject and make the background
"disappear." Why do we want to do that? Because in
today's age of computers and digital photography and/or digital
videography and movie making, we often want to make it look like
our subject is in a place or location other than they really
are. Other times, we may want a deep, solid black background
or a pure, totally white background (without having to arrange
special lighting set ups and determine and use arcane camera
settings to achieve this optically). This technique is equally
useful for both portraiture and product photography.
Just imagine the possibilities! A
client's child, holding a basketball and standing on the court
next to Shaq! Or maybe a girl in a bikini on a beautiful beach
in Hawaii at the golden moment of sunset. Or a diamond ring "floating"
in the air in front of the Milky Way, or an automobile on top
of a fabulous mesa in America's most beautiful National Parks.
Or an infant asleep in her father's hands with a solid black
background showing only the hands and the baby magically suspended
in a magnificent image. With these fabulous backdrops, AND a
great background support set, the only limit to what you can
accomplish is your own imagination. All this for less than a
dinner would cost you at a nice restaurant.
When you go to the movies and
see Spiderman or CatWoman (or, for the more mature among us,
Superman or Batman:), soaring over Metropolis or Gotham City,
and bouncing from skyscraper to skyscraper, in reality, they
are NOT "flying" above the city, but the SuperHero
is attached to wires (of the same blue color as the chromakey
blue background), soaring in front of a "blue screen"
ChromaKey Background in a studio's sound stage! Then, the digital
artists delete the Blue (or green) chromakey backgrounds and
the wires holding the actors (on their computers), and then dropping
in image of a cityscape (or black, white, or any other conceivable
background image or color)! All the major studios use this technique
(as well as using special cameras that are "blind"
to certain colors), and there's no reason why we can't do so
as well!
And that's exactly why today's
photographers, videographers, and moviemakers use these ChromaKey
backgrounds every day! ChromaKeys come in two colors: Blue (hence
the movies calling it a "blue screen"), and green;
each of which are a tone of color that is very rare in nature,
and that makes it easy to select and differentiate from
whatever your subject might be. Why do we have blue AND a green
ChromaKey backdrops? Just to make life easier for us hard-working
photographers; if our victims (er, um, our "subjects"
that is) are people, as in portraiture or movie making, for example,
then just like the major movie studios, we will want to use the
chromakey blue backdrops ("blue screens") because there
are no skin tones inherent in the blue chromakey backgrounds;
so if your shots will contain people, the blue chromakey background
may well be your best choice (human skin tones contain reds,
yellows, and greens, which is why the green chromakey may not
be optimal for people pictures - but we can use the green chromakey
if we like - it won't make that big of a difference for most
of us). For certain other subjects, though, the green ChromaKey
might work better for us. But either way, the tone of the blue
and green chromakeys are designed NOT to replicate a natural
subject of a similar color. But just in case, we have both color
ChromaKeys available for you. Check out my other auctions for
a set of one blue and one green ChromaKey backdrop if your needs
so dictate. Generally, though, we'll tend to do better with a
blue chromakey background for shots and videos containing humans
(or stuff with lots of greens in the shot). But, as always when
dealing with PhotoSource3, the choice is all yours! If
you prefer a Green ChromaKey, that will be fine with me; after
all, you're the customer, and as we all know - the customer
is always right! Just see below for the instructions.

| Important: Please
be aware that THIS ChromaKey Background is true heavy-duty,
top-quality photographic muslin - NOT the thin, flimsy
non-muslin (but often called "muslin" anyway) cotton
blend - and even worse - polyester blend backgrounds being passed
off on unsuspecting buyers by others online nowadays. Be especially
careful to avoid the silk, rayon, or cotton/rayon/polyester blend
"chromakey" backdrops! They're not only too light and
flimsy to be of value to photographers and videographers, but
they often have a "shiny" finish that results in "hot
spots" and unwanted reflections which ruins our images!
If you really must have one of these types of backdrops,
just go to a local fabric store and buy them for half of what
the less-than-honorable sellers are asking for them. But don't
say I didn't warn you! While there are always exceptions to every
rule, most of the time in life we tend to get what we pay for.
But it's your money, and your decision, of course.
Thank you for visiting this auction, and remember - always keep
a camera handy! |

| NOTE: As with all material products,
these muslins may vary in size by up to 10%. In cold weather,
they tend to shrink a little bit, and in warm weather expand
a tad. Also, when left hanging for a while, they may stretch
out just a little; this will not affect the color nor will it
cause any problems for you. Most sellers never mention this,
but I like to make sure that my (cherished:) customers are fully
informed. Thanks for understanding. |

Cell Phone Antenna Extender - FREE!
 |
Ever have your cellular
phone fail to find a signal when you really needed it? Those of us
who have cell phones, have them because we never know when we'll
find ourselves in a situation where it will save our butts (or
those of our spouses, kids, or friends) from some emergency.
Other times, when we're on our
cell phone with an important call, we discover that we've just
"dropped" the call during the most important part of
our conversations. It's happened to all of us, and I really hated
it when it happened to me!
We've all seen the ads on TV
and in the magazines and newspapers for these Cell Phone Antenna
Boosters, and hundreds of thousands have been sold for $19.95
each! And, yes, they DO help (I've tried them on my own cell
phones). They're easy to install (just peel and stick them behind
the battery). To be perfectly honest (and I always am:), they're
not as "Wonderful" as the TV ads make them out to be
(what is?:), but they really do help pull in the cell signals
when you're in a "fringe" area or inside buildings.
I certainly don't think they're worth $20, but in an emergency,
these little antenna boosters could make the difference for you.
And one thing's for sure: you can't beat the price! It's FREE!
I just happened to come upon
a fabulous deal for these cellular phone antenna boosters, and
I feel that it's something we should all have - after
all, when an emergency happens to us, we'll NEED to have a connection
that will work (but no guarantees:)!
Sure, I could have sold these
for five, ten, or maybe even fifteen dollars each (as others
are doing) and I could have made a great profit on them - but
I'm NOT the average eBay seller (you might care to review my
business philosophy, here), and I feel that if you're kind enough
to purchase this great professional lighting equipment from me,
the least I could do would be to give you one of these as a FREE
gift! So I'm including one of these Cellular Antenna Boosters
with EVERY order. For FREE! Just my way of saying: "Thank
you for your patronage!" So "Who da man?" Huh?
Who da man? ;-)

|
| Each and every order (placed from this eBay
auction listing) will include one
FREE Cellular Phone Antenna Booster. Please
understand that you will receive one
free antenna booster with your order (regardless of how many
kits or items you may order from a dutch auction). Unlike with
other sellers, this is not a gimmick - there's no "catch,"
there are no additional costs to you, there are no
additional "shipping" or "handling" charges
tacked on - this is really and truly a FREE bonus! Wondering
if my products are really as good as they sound? Just
check my feedback for assurance, and see for yourself! |

| Remember,
folks, there's virtually nothing for sale nowadays that someone
couldn't make a little cheaper, using lower quality materials,
less reliable components, poorer manufacturing processes, and
unskilled workers. Those of us who make our purchasing decisions
based solely upon price are this unscrupulous person's legitimate
prey. For goodness sakes, don't pay a cent more than you have
to for a product - but in my (sad) experience whenever a
deal seems "too good to be true," it usually turns
out not to be true. Please check my feedback - and then make your purchasing
decisions; after all, it's your money, and you
have to decide upon what to purchase, and from whom to purchase
it. I've done my very best to provide you with the best quality
equipment available, for the absolutely lowest price that can
be found. And take a moment to compare with any other seller
or source all the help and information I provide to my customers
- for free. I'm not some huge corporation out to squeeze every
last cent out of my customers - I'm just a regular person (like
you, perhaps) doing his best to be fair and honest and provide
my fellow photo/video/graphers with the tools they need in order
to be successful. If you're interested, here's my business philosophy. Thank you for being
kind enough to visit this auction, and may the Photographic Gods

| So - you've gone out and spent
God knows how many hundreds (or thousands) of dollars on your
shiny, new digital camera(s) and/or camcorder(s), and excitedly
ran around the house (and/or the neighborhood) snapping or video-ing
everything you saw. Wow! Digital is GREAT, isn't it! Yup, it
sure is! BUT... What
did you discover? |
| But... what did you discover? Your images
and videos, "magically" copied to your memory cards,
sticks, disks, or tapes, ended up looking a lot like they did
with your old cameras. Well, at least you're not wasting a lot
of film (although you do go through batteries like never before).
So why aren't your new digital images amazing and fantastic?
Because you forgot the primary rule of photography: "Photographers
are LIGHT writers!" The word "Photographer" itself
(from Greek) means "LightWriter" or "one who writes
with LIGHT." Film, digital, video, or movies - it doesn't
matter - they are ALL based upon LIGHT! So how can you make your
digital camera images, camcorders, and videos virtually "sing"
with the "dynamic beauty" the camera seller promised
you as they swiped your credit card through the little machine?
Easy. Get a decent light (or set of lights). Only THEN will your
images "pop" out with the professional glory we all
dream of. And NOW you can have that light for less than (or,
depending upon the lighting kit you choose, barely more than)
the tax you paid on your digital camera or camcorder! Will the
brand new, fully guaranteed lights I'm selling - for such low
prices - really make such an amazing difference for you? Don't
take MY word for it - just check
my feedback and see what over two thousand other eBay
customers have to say about it (not to mention several thousand
additional happy non-eBay customers). Darn it - ain't I great?
Huh? ;o) |

IMPORTANT:
I know, I know - we all
hate the "spam" that fills our In boxes, and we need
spam blockers (also known as "junk mail" filters) to
filter out at least SOME of these annoying messages - BUT - these
spam blockers often block important messages as well as spam
emails. So to assure that you will receive messages about your
orders, if you place a bid on ANY of my auctions, or ask me a
question via e-mail, PLEASE add my e-mail address to your phone
book (or un-block my e-mail address some other way) RIGHT NOW: PhotoSource3@pss3.com - so my messages will reach you. This is especially
important for folks who use AOL! What kinds of messages
will I need to send you? E-mails that let you know you won an
auction; e-mails to inform you your payment(s) were received;
e-mails to tell you when your order will ship; e-mails that provide
you with tracking numbers for your orders, and similar types
of important messages. Lately, many of my (wonderful and cherished)
customers have been sending me increasingly worried (and sometimes
even somewhat angry) messages asking why I have not responded
to their inquiries and questions (like: "Did you receive
my payment?" and "did you ship my order?" and
"Why won't you answer my e-mails?").
I ASSURE you, my most precious photographic friends - I ALWAYS
keep my customers informed, and I reply to ALL my customers'
messages. But unless you add my e-mail address - PhotoSource3@pss3.com
- to your address book or UN-block my e-mail address another
way, your "Junk Mail" blocker may NOT allow my messages
to get to you! Especially
bad on this situation is AOL! Why
are my e-mails being blocked? Because spam blockers look for
words commonly used in spam e-mails, like: "Congratulations"
(as in: congratulations, you won an auction), and "Brand
New," and "Guaranteed," and "How to pay"
for your new equipment; and "Where to go to find" setup
instructions for your new purchase, and similar words. And now
many e-mail message with any links in them will cause it to be
blocked as well (and I always give my customers links to important
pages on my web site like instructions on how to set up the equipment,
and links to free photographic tips and educational material.
So if you want to communicate with me UNBLOCK MY E-MAIL ADDRESS
NOW! Thanks for understanding.
ALSO: Please
understand, I just don't have the time to reply to automatic
anti-spam e-mail messages sent by a computer asking me to
open a web browser, then follow a link to a web page where I
must enter my email address yet again, re-enter my name, enter
a message explaining why you should allow my e-mail to reach
you, and copy a weird security code into a form just so my e-mails
can get through to you! I invest a lot of time and effort to
keep you updated on your order, and answering your questions.
I have thousands of customers, and if I have to go through all
this extra work, I would not be able to process orders in a timely
fashion for my wonderful and beloved customers. If you choose
use such a spam filter, you must also assume the responsibility
to unblock my e-mail address. If you do not, then you will not
receive my e-mails. So, please, pretty please, have a
heart and gimmie a break, huh? UNBLOCK my e-mail address. And
that's all she wrote! |

Wreserved Worldwide! So there! ;-)
Details,
details, details....
· All payments must be in US dollars, and
all checks drawn on a US bank.
· All orders from Canada, Puerto Rico,
Alaska, Hawaii, and any other countries MUST include your phone
number, or it cannot be shipped.
· Orders from Puerto Rico, Alaska, and
Hawaii can ONLY be shipped via UPS Second Day Air or Next Day
Air, so be sure to include the appropriate shipping charges or
your order will be delayed. Shipping charges for APO and FPO
addresses will be higher than those listed. Please e-mail me
for a shipping quote.
· While personal and business checks are
welcome, it will delay shipment of your order by 5-12 BUSINESS
days.
· If you send me an e-mail and don't receive
a response within a couple of business days (give me a little
more time during holiday periods), please re-send it. I receive
over 1,000 (yes, one thousand) e-mail messages every week, and
do my best to keep up, but there's only one of me, so have some
pity. ALSO, Lately, I've been having trouble with some customers'
"spam blockers" - those programs that purport to filter
out spam and let through "good" e-mail messages. Actually,
most spam blockers suck! So before excoriating me about not answering
your e-mail, first go look in your spam blocker's junk mail mailbox,
and most likely you'll find my previous e-mail message(s), which
were most likely unceremoniously tossed aside like a dirty washcloth
by poorly-written algorithms in inferior spam blocker software
- and I assure you that my "filtered out" e-mail messages
are weeping uncontrollably at being so terribly mistreated by
second-class software authors and their worthless progeny! ;-)
Sorry for the resentment, but it's really annoying to have to
send the same e-mail messages half a dozen times, and still have
my (beloved) customers not receive it - and then get mad at me
for not replying to them.
· Lots of local folks ask about visiting
my store, or picking up their order personally; this won't work
because I don't have a store (that's how I can sell this brand
new equipment for such low prices), and the warehouse does not
allow individual pickups.
· While I don't ship to foreign countries
(outside of Canada), if you arrange for an international freight
carrier to pickup of your order, I'll be glad to pack it up and
have it waiting for pickup by your shipping company.
· Being human (yeah, believe it or not),
I might even make a mistake (yes, as hard as it may be to believe,
I actually did make a mistake once - I think it was back in '81:),
and if I ever do again, I'll make it right just as soon as I
realize it; so please don't hesitate to let me know if I mess
up somewhere - I'll do whatever it takes to make you a happy
camper.
· If you should ever be tempted to leave
negative feedback for me, PLEASE contact me first (and give me
some time to reply); I'll offer the same courtesy for you. Also,
please understand that it is absolutely impossible to please
EVERYBODY! Just check my feedback, and you'll see that thousands
and thousands of my (cherished) eBay customers are absolutely
thrilled with their purchases (and thousands more non-eBay customers,
too) - but very rarely, every now and then, someone pops up who
is absolutely impossible to please! But I have no doubt that
any fair-minded individual will see through those kinds of folks,
and realize that pleasing way, way, over 99% of everybody
is about as good as it ever gets. |
| ·
You are REQUIRED to be absolutely,
positively, 100% THRILLED with your order as well as my customer
service! You have no
choice in the matter, so give up any foolish notions you might
have about not being 100% happy. So there! Seriously, though,
I'll do my very best to assure that you're always 100% satisfied
with our transaction(s), and please don't hesitate to let me
know if there's anything else I can do to make your purchase
- and your photography and/or videography - as enjoyable and
as satisfying as possible. Please realize that I'm not some huge
corporation, trying to squeeze every last cent of profit out
of their customers; I'm just a regular person (like you, perhaps)
who is doing his very best to help you improve your photography/videography,
and to deserve your business and your trust by being as honest,
fair, and honorable as possible. Thanks for viewing this auction,
it is appreciated. Take care, be happy, give those you love lotsa
hugs, and always keep your camera handy!. |
