This fine Hand Finished Stipple Engraving was published in 1818-20 for "Histoire Naturelle des Orangers" Engraved Gabriel, after the original drawing by Pierre Antoine Poiteau.

Printed on good quality heavy paper. Top right corner margin crease, and very minor tone spot bottom margin. Otherwise very clean and in excellent condition.

This is not Poiteau's less sought after later work, that sometimes appears on the market. An original rare print from the above book, published Paris 1818-20.
