Pink Floyd's album "Dark Side of the Moon" is the secret soundtrack to the Wizard of Oz. Though the band has not publicly admitted it, the evidence is overwhelming. This DVD was professionally re-mastered with Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" replacing the audio of the Wizard of Oz soundtrack. They are synched together to reveal Pink Floyd's secret soundtrack. When there are changes in mood in the movie the music changes, and the lyrics describe things that are happening in the movie. It is amazing to hear the greatest album of all time while watching the greatest movie of all time. IMPORTANT!! DVD-R's have no region coding and will play on most PC's and DVD Players. Below is a list of coincidences that prove the validity of this DVD: Anything in "Quotes" is a Lyric from Dark Side of the Moon. General Coincidences: The Rainbow on the cover of the CD, and the most popular song from the movie "Over the Rainbow". Side one of the album is exactly as long as the black and white part of the movie. About two minutes into the movie the triangle hanging from the tree looks an awful lot like the cover of the CD with the slats of the fence making the rainbow. In the words at the beginning notice "Time" is capitalized, Track 3 Time Track 7 "Any Colour You Like" has no lyrics and could be titled anything. Wizard of Oz was one of the first film to use Technicolor. Track 1. Speak To Me / Breathe In The Air "Don't be Afraid to Care" Dorothy holds a chick to her face in a loving way. "Choose your own ground" She turns and walks away from Auntie Em and Uncle. "All that you touch" She touches a farmhand on the arm. "When at last the work is done" the Scarecrow/farmhand smacks his hand with the hammer and stops working. "How you fly" Dorothy is standing on the fence with her arms out trying to keep her balance, it looks like she's trying to fly. "Balanced on the biggest wave" Dorothy is balanced on the fence to the pigpen. She falls in on the lyrics "race towards an early grave" and the tone of the music changes dramatically as does the mood of the movie Track 2. On The Run The beginning of the song is very dark and dramatic, as the Lion/farmhand is obviously very upset, even though the other farmhands are laughing. The music also matches Dorothy's upset look as she talks to Auntie Em. Mrs. Gulch/The Wicked Witch appears riding her bike at the same time as the alarm clock bells at the beginning of the song. Auntie Em appears and starts talking at the same time as a female voice is heard on the CD. "Here today gone tomorrow" as Dorothy leans against hay bale, Judy Garland died young. On The Run has airplane sounds the whole time Dorothy sings "Over the Rainbow"; she is looking up at the sky. There is a distinct airplane flyby that Dorothy looks up and follows left to right. Track 3. Time The bells start just as Mrs. Gulch/Bad Witch appears on her bicycle. Uncle swings paintbrush like a bell to bells in music. The song mood matches Dorothy's panicky rush around the room as she looks from Anti Em to Mrs. Gulch to Uncle. Mrs. Gulch rides away pedaling with the beat of the music. "Waiting for someone or something to show you the way" Dorothy is siting in her room wondering what to do, a few seconds later Toto jumps in the window. "No one told you when to run" Dorothy is leaving the farm, running away. During guitar solo you can read Past, Present, and Future on Professor Marvels sign. (Time) Professor Marvel appears behind Dorothy with the words "racing around, to come up behind you again". "Time has come" as Professor Marvel looks in crystal ball. Track 4. The Great Gig In the Sky While the title is perfect for the scene with the tornado and the flying house, the mellow tone does not fit with the panic of the scene. But some how it works anyway. "I am not afraid of dying, anytime will do" as tornado first appears. Drums kick in as the heavy damage begins; a tree is knocked down on the first drumbeat. On the CD a woman begins wailing, it matches Dorothy's yelling as she runs around the house looking for everybody. When Dorothy is knocked out the music changes dramatically to a much slower tempo. House lands and as Dorothy opens the door to her room as the last piano cord plays, there is silence until she opens the front door. Track 5. Money There is a big change in the music style from Great Gig in the Sky to Money, which matches the change from black and white to color. The first cash register sound is heard exactly when Dorothy opens the door and you see color for the first time. "Money get back" munchkins duck back in the bushes "Don't give me that goody goody bull s**t" as Glinda's bubble appears. During the baseline Glinda holds her wand like a guitar. She actually strums it and moves her hand like shes changing cords. The short base beats fit with the munchkins small hesitant steps. The munchkin army marches to the beat of the music. Music picks up-tempo as Dorothy gets excited. "I don't know, I was really drunk at the time" as the mayor talks to Dorothy, it looks like this is what he'is saying. Track 6. Us and Them Certificate of death is presented at the beginning of the song. Mayor and assistant wave their arms to the beat. "Us, Us, Us" Ballerinas enter. "Me, Me, Me" The lollipop guild enters. "Black, Black" you see the Wicked Witch (Black dress) "Blue, Blue" camera changes to Dorothy (Blue dress) "And who knows Witch is Witch and who is who" Camera pans from Glinda to the Wicked Witch. "Up, Up" Wicked Witch up on platform. "Down, Down" as the Wicked Witch starts to walk down. "Down and out" Glinda Disappears. Track 7. Any Colour You Like Song starts when Dorothy reaches the See for yourself..... Thanks & Enjoy!! |
