PINK PREHNITE / CHALCEDONY,LAKE SUPERIOR,KEWEENAW CO.MI

 This specimen of pink Prehnite with Copper inclusions in clear Chalcedony on a Basalt matrix was collected off the shore line of Lake Superior,Cedar Bay,Keweenaw county,Michigan.It is  1 5/16" x 1 1/16" x 1/2" and weights in at 18.7 grams.Pink Prehnite is what the Keweenaw beach collectors call this type of nodule,but I think it is Prehnite crystals with microscopic Copper and Cuprite inclusions giving it the  pink to purple colors in a clear Chalcedony with Copper inclusions.Some of the Copper inclusions are elongate and some are Dendritic and some just flecks and some have a Tenorite coating.At any rate it is a very colorful stone and it not that common,it has been polished on the face of the nodule.Buyer pays all shipping by zip or postal codes and insurance if requested.Thanks for looking and look at our store for other mineral specimens and other items of interest.Please enlarge photo images for better pic's.
