This versatile player can also be used to play ordinary CD's, CD singles, and CDV discs. And what's more, it provides new levels of control convenience. Using barcodes, a teacher can instantly access any part of a Cd audio disc to hear a certain musical passage or to repeat a lesson in language leaning. It is even possible to control the playback of CD';s by computer. If fact, with the CLD-V2400 controlled by computer or Bar code CD and index search, it is possible to Access CD audio accurately to block address. This means you can directly access a word, syllable or even a single musical note.

RS-232 Interface for computer Control

The RS232 Interface allows the CLD-V2400 to be connected to virtually any computer including IBM's or APPLE compatible brands. In addition, the CLD-V2400 responds to the same standard command protocol as that used for Pioneer LaserDisc player models CLD-V2600, LD-V2200 and LD-V4400, so programs developed for these models can be used with little or no modification. This protocol for Pioneer players is supported by dozens of multimedia authoring systems.

The LaserDisc optical system guarantees the video clarity is superb. And thanks to the non-contact laser pickup, quality will never deteriorate. The CLD-V2400 also delivers high quality digital sound, equivalent to that of a compact disc player. It has four audio channels (two digital, tow analog), offering a high degree of flexibility. S/N ratio is an outstanding 95dB.

CD Audio Playback

The CLD-V2400 provides unrivaled convenience in playing audio CD's. the bar code Cd system gives teachers access to any point and the CD instant playback of any desired music or language selection, as well as permitting computer controlled playback. Entirely new application of interactive audio can be prepared in this way. With bar code CD or with computer control, the CLD-V2400 can play audio segments of fraction and second small enough to pinpoint a word, or syllable or musical note.

Capable of Playing Five kinds of Discs;

In addition to playing both 12" and 8" laser disks, the CLD-V2400 is capable of playing standard 5" CD audio disks and 3" CD Singles. It will also play 5" CDV format disks.

Auto Start and Auto Repeat

If a disc is loaded and the player is the power on mode, play begins automatically when the main power is switched on. The player can also be set to repeat contiguously until you stop play back manually, by remote control or with the main power switch. This makes the CLD-V2400 ideal for application in exhibitions or retail displays, as play begins and ends automatically when the room's power is turned on and off.

The CLD-V2400 works with the Pioneer CU-V113 Remote control. The remote was designed for easy and convenient control by educators and presenters alike.

Text Display for Titles, Instructions and comments

This Features allows you to display up to 12 lines by 20 characters of text superimosed over any image in the form of English characters and symbols in wither upper or lower case.

Builty-in RF Modulator

Pioneer has included a built-in RF modulator to allow the CLD-V2400 to be connected to any TV set or video monitor.
