Here is a wonderful civilian ape accessory that was custom made for and used during filming of the 20th Century Fox, Tim Burton film from 2001, PLANET OF THE APES.
This is absolutely genuine, and screen used, and not a reproduction or copy.
It comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from Studio-Props.  We purchased this item directly from 20th Century Fox and have placed a copy of our receipt from Fox on the C.O.A. to prove it.  This piece is really quite simple.  It is a flat piece of fabric that measures approx. 16"x 80"and has an over locked stitch around the edges.  This was used as a scarf like item that was added as a final layer to the civilian ape costumes.  This was created by the crafty and amazing wardrobe making artists employed by the film makers.     Very high quality, hand made, one of a kind.  The fabric is a slightly sheer linen (it may have some silk in it as well) and is a deep burgundy with some small golden spots.   The C.O.A. is a nice, official document suitable for framing.
