Boleslawiec stoneware originated as folk art in the early 1800's in the German providence of Silesia, now part of Poland.

For auction is one of the finest pieces of this stoneware that comes from the cooperative known as "Boleslawiec Ceramika Artystyczna".

Excellent craftsmanship is their trademark, and they stamp each piece with their unique seal. Since each piece is an individual artwork, no two pieces are exactly alike.
