Strap the Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-MASTER II on to your wrist and you have not only a selfwinding waterproof watch but also an instrument that allows you to simultaneously check the time in any two different time zones you wish. Created in response to demand from professional aviators, the GMT-Master II is equipped with a device for rapidly moving the normal hour hand in one-hour jumps.

This makes it possible to momentarily display the time in a time zone different to the two that have previously been set. All that is required is to locate the hour of the new time zone on the rotatable bezel in line with the hand with the triangular tip. To return to the original time zone, the bezel is reset with its triangular marker aligned with the 12 position on the dial

The GMT Line of Rolex sport watches have been my favorite. Unlike the Submariner, Sea-Dweller, Explorer, or Daytona, I always had a need for tracking multiple time zones. Moreover, I find that the black bezel GMTs were the best looking watches.

This is a highly desirable model featuring a black dial and red/black bezel. This is a pre-owned model, purchased in 1996 from Mappin & Webb Ltd, Regent Street, London. The original bill of sale is included as are all the original boxes and papers. This model also has the original officially certified chronometer ticket. The GMT-MASTER II is a handsome watch for business and social wear, yet remains, first and foremost, a watch preffered by aviation professionals and businessmen who might travel the world. The automatic movement with perpetual rotor has obtained the official title of Swiss Chronometer. It is housed in the famous 40mm Oyster case. The trip lock crown, a triple safety device is protected against accidents by seamless shoulders cut in solid metal. The date changes at midnight and can be rapidly adjusted. The graduated Oyster bracelet is fastened by a Fliplock safety clasp. A tough sapphire crystal remains scratch resistant under the most arduous conditions. The watch is waterproof to a depth of 300m (1000 feet). The revolving bezel incorporates a ratchet. The watch is 100% guaranteed authentic and the serial number is W635485. The watch is in good condition for it's age and as you will see from the photograph includes the following items:-
