Vista? I am considering buying one of these for my Canon Pixma MP520. I assume it will work on these cartridges.PGI 5BK, Cli 8 etc. My question is what exactly do I need do in order to get this to work and is there a limited amount of times that I can reset each tank. On my old Canon I refilled indefinitely but I realize they did not have the chip. Answer: This resetter is really easy to use. If you have an original Canon Cartridge with the chip still attached, you simply place the cartridge with the chip facing bottom (like when you put it into your printer) and press it into place. The unit will flash a steady led light when the chip has been reset - it takes about 5 seconds. You do exactly the same thing if you have a remanufactured or compatible cart which you have attached a chip too. There is no limit to how many times you can reset the chip on any tank or how many times you can refill it. I have spoken to some people who have had their canon printers for years and still continue to refill the original ink cartridges. As you know, it is only recently that Canon has added chips to their printers, so that is why a resetter now is important to have. Especially if you have a multifunction printer which includes a fax machine, because it will not print out the faxes automatically if the chip in your cartridge has not been reset. Will refilling my inkjet cartridge void the manufacturer's warranty on my printer? Answer: No. Refilling your inkjet cartridge does not tamper with your printer in any way, and therefore does not effect your warranty. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act, the consumer is allowed the right to choose any consumable they desire for their printer, and allowed to make any repairs to the printer cartridge they deem necessary.
