"PROSTITUTION: BEYOND THE MYTHS" DVD Documentary
A documentary illustrating solutions to the world's oldest profession
This 30-minute documentary, "Prostitution: Beyond the Myths" takes a personal and up close look at prostitution from three women that have lived the lifestyle and have successfully gotten out, and now lead productive lives. Also featured are the viewpoints of a district court judge, a Minneapolis vice detective, counselors at the Women's Recovery Center and a research group. The film provides an approach utilized by a recovery program to assist women in getting out of prostitution.
This film can be a valuable tool in university classes in Criminology and Social Service programs, as well as anyone working in the criminal justice system, medical system, and social welfare system. It exposes the problems and explains solutions.
