I bought this saw about one year ago from one of our local home centers (Menards) expecting that it would be reasonbly durable and accurate. Now, having used it extensively for many projects (framing garage door, lots of trim work, etc), I must say that I am very pleasantly surprised. This saw has been remarkably durable and has required only one minor adjustment (after it fell off my truck while unloading it at a work site). I typically buy major name brand power tools (Delta, Porter Cable, Bosch), on the theory that the extra expense will pay off in the long term. This saw has performed very well. The dust collection bag is somewhat inadequate, but that is true of most mitre saws. When using it in the shop, I connect it to the shop vacuum and dust collection is adequate. When using it out of doors, dust is not an issue. It is powerful and has an electronic brake (unlike my older saw). In fact, I am told the saw is built under the "Pro-Tech" name the same components as Delta saws (by Emerson, which manufactures motors for most power equipment), although I have independently verified this. Nevertheless, it is a great tool.
