You can read competitors listings where they are trying to make this into rocket science; well, we're here to tell you this is not rocket science. Simply put, Pulse Start type fixtures use a different ballast and lamp and put off approximately 5,000 more lumens than conventional probe start metal halides. What does this mean for you? You can light your area with fewer lights, or you can drop down to a 320 watt pulse start, get virtually the same amount of light as a standard 400 watt probe start metal halide, but save 80 watts of electricity per light. Pulse Start fixtures feature lamps that maintain their brightness for a longer period. If you are buying lights to be shipped to California, you have no choice, your state requires pulse start type light fixtures.

Frequently Asked Questions: 1) How many lights do I need? On average, 1 light for every 450 square feet. Take your square footage and divide this by 450 and this will give you the number of lights you need for general lighting. 2) Do they come with a warranty? Although we do not anticipate any problems, these lights are warrantied for 1 year from the date of purchase. We have a hassle free warranty program where we diagnose the problem and ship out a replacement within 1 business day. We even pay to ship the defective items back to us. In addition, we warranty their arrival to you in working condition and not damaged. 3) What voltage are these lights wired for? These lights have multi-tap ballasts making them suitable for 120/208/240/277 volts.
4) How do I wire and mount these? These lights have a 3/4" threaded hole in the top of the light. You can use this how you please, but we do offer hook and cord kits in our Ebay store to simplify the installation process. The hook will thread into the hole and a 6' cord allow you to plug in or wire into a junction box. It is always recommended for these to be installed by a licensed and experienced electrician. 5) What are people saying about your products and services? We value our customers and take every step to make sure you are completely satisfied. Customers have been very pleased with uour customer service and our products...check out our Ebay feedback and you will see their level of satisfaction! Furthermore, we are an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau.
6) What brand are these light fixtures? We have these lights custom manufactured and we do not stamp a brand name onto them. The quality is superb! 7) What color of light do these put out? This is a metal halide light which puts off a white colored light. 8) How do I pay for my order if I don't want to use paypal? We realize that not all Ebay users have paypal accounts, so just give us a call to pay by credit card and we can process your payment over the phone. Call us at 217-370-7073. 9) What is the difference between a low bay light and a high bay light? Low bays are generally used for ceiling heights under 20 feet, while high bays are used for ceiling heights over 20 feet. Low bays have an acrylic diffuser on the bottom of the fixture that will help to flood the light outward over the shorter span to the floor. If you need high bay lights, check out our Ebay store for a full selection.
