Real PYGMY RATTLESNAKE Wet Specimen - Jar Mount

ITEM  DESCRIPTION:

Real, Wet-preserved specimen from a closed Biological Supplier.  Originally fixed in Formalin, now stored in alcohol.  Properly preserved.  This is an old specimen.

The Pygmy Rattlesnake is the smallest of our native rattlers.  This is an uncommon specimen that came from a closed Biological Supply Company.  It has been in storage for many years.  The specimen is in good shape.  A few loose scales, but overall a great wet specimen sample.  The fluid is alcohol and will be drained with specimen left wet in paper towels and minimal fluid, inside jar, for shipping.  Just add rubbing alcohol on arrival.  Very cool item.

Jar is 4 inches tall X 3.5 wide.  Nice, adult specimen.  The small rattle has 5 segments.

Very cool item for classroom studies, nature center and museum exhibits, or personal zoology or herpetology collections.
