This auction is for a 2 1/2 Qt Cinderella style mixing bowl by Pyrex in the ~Butterfly Gold~ pattern #443. Very clean, no chips or cracks.. The design is not discolored. For Oven and Microwave, no stovetop or broiler. Made in U.S.A.
Cinderella bowls were introduced in 1958 and are easily recognizable by the two pour spout handles of different sizes. They were also produced with many colorful designs. These attributes made them a bright, if not whimsical, alternative to batter bowls, while being usable for baking, serving, and storing as well.
The shape was adapted and transformed into a line of casseroles with similar handles having matching colors and designs. As these were first issued in the late 1950's, the colors predominantly reflect those of the 1960's.
