This type of Pabst cooler was popular in the 50's and 60's. It is water proof and the only way to describe it is like a super compressed cardboard with out any seams. The original instructions on how to use it are still with the cooler and in perfect shape. As you can see by the pictures, the carry strap is also with the cooler and in great shape. There are no dents, cracks or damage to the lid or the cooler. The instructions say it will hold 12 cans or 8 bottles. There are no dates, just the trade mark stamp.
