Laser Disc is a relatively obscure, but high quality video format. Unlike VHS or DVD, the format was rarely available as a rental, as such, fewer people are aware of Laser Disc. Laser Disc was on the market from 1978 to 2000. They are roughly the size of a record, but they look like an oversized DVD.
Their size means larger cover art, and some collectors buy them just to frame them.
They do make for a nice alternative to a full sized movie poster.
BUYER BEWARE disclaimer.
I do not own a Laser Disc player. Therefore I have NO WAY to KNOW if they still play properly.
Many of the Laser Disc's I have for sale do have scratches, that may or may not effect their quality. If they are like DVD's the scratches may have no effect at all?
I've had perfect DVD's that don't platy at all, and very scratched DVD's that play with no problem.
