Age is somewhere between the 1920's and 1940's. The glass is an unusual pale translucent white--there is a proper name for it--I'm thinking opalene or opaline but I'm not sure that is right. it is not milk glass. They stand 12" to the top of the nob, stepped footed base is 4" square. They both have working pull chain switches and sockets. Wiring is the old cloth covered with loss to the outer cloth insulation but secondary insulation looks ok--they probably should be rewired. The deeply ribbed shades have a design that repeats 3 times around the shade. No chips or cracks but you will find some rust and spotting to the metal parts. They will clean up nicer than what you see now--I don't have the time to do it. thse are hard to find. 17/17/12 10b4d s
