This is a beautifully designed and meticulously crafted pair of English sterling silver water goblets. In the 17th century style. Never monogrammed. From the well regarded London firm of C.J. Vander. Founded in 1886 by Cornelius Joshua Vander. Continues to this day crafting fine silver. The firm renowned for super re-creations of antique forms. This elegant pair of sterling silver water goblet in classic form. Waldron illustrates a very similar pair of c1630 goblets, page 181. Tall slender bowl. Gently flared at rim. Elaborate step and repeating saucer form stem. With tapering vase at centre. The goblets set atop thick stepped circular base. Never monogrammed. The English 17th century style sterling silver water goblets are 5 1/4 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches at widest. Thick heavy guage sterling construction, each weighs 6 ounces. Hallmarked as shown. In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Stand perfectly firm on table or serving tray.
